Departure from Moscow to Pereslavl with guide.
Arrival to Pereslavl. Pereslavl-Zalessky is one of the ancient cities of central Russia. The town was founded in 1152 by prince Yury Dolgoruky. It is located halfway between Moscow and Yaroslavl, about 130 km North-East of Moscow on the bank of Pleshcheevo Lake. Here, in 1693, young Peter the Great constructed a "funny fleet" which became a prototype of the first Russian fleet on the Baltic sea. Well-known are monuments of a historical and architectural value of Pereslavl-Zalessky. Earth mounds of the XII c., well-preserved till present days, are outstanding military-defence installations of the Old Russia stretching for about 2.5 km. In the town centre near the walls overtops the Transfiguration of the Saviour white-stoned cathedral built at the time of the town foundation in 1152. A number of diverse interesting constructions of the XVI-XVII cc. are preserved in Pereslavl-Zalessky. Monuments of ancient architecture are studied and restored.

Day 2

Museum-estate "Botik" (an affiliation of the Pereslavl museum). Initially, the authentic things of the end of the XVIIth century have been stored there, witnessing creation of the Russian navy. The "Fortune" boat is the only vehicle of the Peter's flotilla that survived. Also there are exhibited sea crafts, a cauldron for tar boiling, the remainder of the clock mechanism and a copper eagle that used to decorate the Peter I's Palace, as well as the monument to Peter I by sculptor Rastrelli.

Taxi ride to The Blue stone. The "Blue Stone" history dates back to the remote past of this country. By now the historians together with archaeologists have had a reliable evidence of the first settlement on the bank of Pleshcheevo lake which appeared more than 2,000 years ago. The Finns were pioneer settlers, although pagans, however not  making bloody sacrifices. The place of the settlement attracted their attention by a 30-m high mountain overtopping the water, from where one could easily observe remote surroundings. According to the old residents who transfer different legends by word of mouth, having been on the field stone heals people of a number of diseases...
